Full kitchen renovation in Islip, New York
Accessible Remodeling completed a complete kitchen remodel in Islip, NY for a homeowner who wanted to maximize space and give the room a more modern feel. The project focused on storage, layout, flooring, and finishes to deliver a clean, functional kitchen that meets everyday needs.
One of the main features we installed was a full eight foot island. The island includes double pull-out drawers to increase accessible storage and keep frequently used items organized. With that much work surface and built-in storage, the island serves as both a prep area and a place for family and guests to gather without crowding the main cooking zones.
We replaced the old cabinetry with hardwood cabinets that have soft-close hinges. Hardwood gives the space a solid, lasting look while soft-close hinges reduce noise and wear on the doors and drawers. Cabinet placement was planned to make the most of the available footprint so the homeowner could store more items within easy reach.
To update the look and improve durability, oversized porcelain tile was installed on the floor. Porcelain tile provides a smooth, contemporary appearance and is easy to clean, which suits active kitchens. The larger tile format also helps the floor feel more open and less busy, contributing to the modern aesthetic the client wanted.
Stainless steel appliances were chosen to complete the overall look. Their finish coordinates with the modern cabinetry and tile, tying the design together while providing reliable, everyday performance. The appliances were installed to align with the new layout so workflow in the remodeled kitchen is efficient.
Throughout the kitchen remodel we focused on practical improvements that support daily use, such as maximizing storage with the island and drawers, improving cabinet longevity with soft-close hardware, and choosing durable flooring that enhances the room visually. Each element was selected to create a cohesive, modern result rather than a collection of mismatched updates.
Accessible Remodeling worked in Islip, NY to deliver this kitchen remodel on schedule, leaving the homeowner with more usable space, a quieter and more organized cabinet system, and a modern, durable finish throughout. The completed project shows how targeted upgrades can transform both the look and function of a kitchen.
